We are excited to welcome you to the Apollo Theatre and want you to have the best experience possible whilst you are here. The safety of our audiences, performers and staff is our utmost priority. We are following government guidelines and as such have put in place a number of measures as part of our COVID Safe procedures plan. For further information check the COVID-19 secure section above. We thank you in advance for your cooperation.

48 hours before the performance we’ll ask you to check-in online which will involve completing a health questionnaire on behalf of yourself and your party to assist with track and trace. Once completed, we’ll deliver your tickets to your mobile or smart device for contact-free entry to the theatre.

If you do not receive your health questionnaire within 48 hours or your e-tickets within 24 hours of your visit, please contact boxoffice@nimaxtheatres.com and our team will assist you.

VENUE INFORMATION

The Apollo Theatre opens 45 minutes before the start of each performance.

The Apollo Theatre Box Office is open Monday to Saturday 10am-8pm. Where there are performances on a Sunday, the Box Office will open from 10am until the start of the final performance of the day.

The Apollo Theatre is located on Shaftesbury Avenue, near to Piccadilly Circus in London’s West End. Below you can find information on how to get to the theatre and a map showing the location of the venue.


HOW TO GET HERE

By Car

The nearest car park is Newport Place, in Chinatown. For details of all locations and prices, visit Q-Park’s website. Remember to take advantage of Q-Park’s Theatreland Parking Scheme. It saves you 50% on off-street car parking charges for up to 24 hours. Simply present your Q-Park car park ticket for validation on arrival at our box office, and the car park machine will automatically charge you half price.

By Public transport

Tube
Piccadilly Circus is just a short walk away, with entrances to the underground at every corner of the road junction. The station is on the Bakerloo line (between Charing Cross and Oxford Circus) and the Piccadilly Line (between Green Park and Leicester Square), so it’s well connected with the rest of London.

National Rail
The Apollo Theatre is easily accessible from most of the major National Rail London stations. Charing Cross is our nearest National Rail station and is just a 10 minute walk from the theatre or one stop on the Bakerloo line to Piccadilly Circus. If you are arriving at one of our other major National Rail stations we recommend jumping on the tube for quick onward travel to the theatre. Get the Piccadilly line to Piccadilly Circus for 5 stops from Kings Cross, the Northern line for 4 stops from Euston to Leicester Square (5 min walk from the theatre) or just six stops on the Bakerloo from Paddington to Piccadilly Circus.

Wheelchair user access at the Apollo is provided using a platform lift to the Stalls. Please report to the main entrance on arrival and a member of staff will accompany you to the wheelchair access entrance. Maximum weight is 300kg. Stalls Q1 and Q22 can be removed to provide wheelchair spaces. There is a fully adapted unisex toilet in located in the Stalls.

There are Ladies and Gentlemen’s toilets are located on all levels, except the Dress Circle.

The theatre bars are located in the Stalls, Grand Circle and Balcony. A member of theatre staff will offer assistance purchasing beverages on behalf of customers who are unable to visit the bars themselves. Programmes and Ice Creams are available in the auditorium. All drinks and refreshments will be available for pre-order to minimise queuing and assist social distancing.

The theatre is fitted with a Williams Sound hearing assistance system. Headsets are available on a first come first served basis. The following receivers are available: WIR RX15-2 and WIR RX22-4N.

The WIR RX15-2 is a two-channel, infrared receiver designed for use with a transmitter operating on 2.3 MHz or 2.8 MHz. This easy-to-operate, headset-style receiver is ideal for listening applications where excellent sound quality is essential. Each earphone features its own individual volume-control knob. A push-button frequency selector makes it easy to alternate between 2.3 MHz or 2.8 MHz operation.

The WIR RX22-4N is a four-channel selectable, infrared receiver compatible with transmitters operating on the 2.3/2.8/3.3/3.8 MHz bandwidth. Dual infrared detectors maximise sensitivity and operating range. Range of up to 28,000 square feet (2,600 square meters) in single-channel mode when used with a Williams Sound WIR TX925 or WIR TX90 infrared system. Comfortable, body-pack design features convenient channel selector and easy-to-use on/off volume control. The RX22-4N can be used with mono or stereo headphones, earphones or a neckloop (lanyard included).

Details of specific access performances for each production can be found on the show pages. These may include relaxed, BSL Interpreted, Audio Described and Captioned performances and are arranged by the producers.

COVID-19 SECURE

In response to audience demand we are increasing our capacity but continuing to maintain robust Covid mitigation measures including:

• Contactless ticketing. Staggered arrival times advised on your ticket.
• Hand sanitiser is provided as you enter the theatre and at designated points throughout the building.
• Different entry and exit points depending on the location of your seats.
• Traffic flow systems to facilitate safe movement around the building where possible.
• Drinks will be pre-ordered and consumed in the comfort of your seat.
• We request all audience members aged 11 and above to wear a face covering, fully covering the nose and mouth whilst inside the theatre, except when eating or drinking.
• Please respect social distancing including when queuing to enter the theatres. Staff will be on hand to assist you.
